Pierre Giai-Levra & Jean-Julien Goettmann

Before launching Anaxis in July 2003, Pierre and Jean-Julien were partners in a French subsidiary of Robeco where they developed and managed a range of multi-manager hedge funds. In two years, the team raised more than 300 million euro in its own funds and various Robeco products.

Previously from September 1999 to May 2001, Pierre worked for Dexia Asset Management in Paris. He was responsible for a team in charge of product development, structured products, dedicated portfolio design and client service. Pierre began his career at Paribas Asset Management in January 1997 as a product manager. He was in charge of a product line including global balanced portfolios, structured products and guaranteed funds. Pierre graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Paris (1994), a scientific school focusing on theoretical physics and mathematics. Pierre also obtained the German Diplom-Mathematiker degree from the University of Stuttgart in 1995 and a Masters in Finance from HEC School of Management in 1996.

Previously, Jean-Julien worked for Dexia Asset Management as a head of alternative investment sales. Based in Paris, he was in charge of business development for hedge funds, multi-strategy alternative portfolios and guaranteed products since May 2000. Jean-Julien also worked for the Hedge Fund Research group (HFR) in Chicago where he became responsible for the selection and sale of specialised hedge funds. Jean-Julien began his career at Société Générale Asset Management (SGAM) in Singapore where he contributed to the local development of the company until July 1998. Jean-Julien graduated from the Rouen Graduate School of Management (head of the Dean’s list) in 1994. He also obtained a Master Degree in Corporate Finance from the Université Paris-Dauphine in 1995. Jean-Julien is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since 2001.
